Sonoma County's Premier Perfume House.
Our ethos
The Villa Vanto ethos is rooted in the belief that building a sustainable future encompasses not only environmental stewardship but also a sound economic business that enriches the personal well-being of all those it touches.
The primary purpose of our 57-acre farm in Petaluma, Ca is to cultivate, harvest and process lavender. This land has lain fallow for decades because the hilly terrain is difficult to farm. Lavender, however, is a drought-resistant crop that will thrive under these conditions, planted in rows on terraced platforms.
Our goal is to give each visitor a one-of-a-kind holistic view into the agricultural process behind the locally grown, natural, custom-made Villa Vanto lavender products and perfumes.
01
Sustainable Lavender Production
Eight acres of our property are currently being planted to lavender, along with various herbs and flowers. Keeping the yield small allows space for giving full attention to the details involved in closed-loop agriculture.
A small herd of sheep will help Villa Vanto control steep hillside vegetation and use rotational and regenerative farming practices.
02
Villa Vanto Custom Scents & Lavender Products
Villa Vanto's organic lavender crop will be used to produce lavender products on-site. Offerings will include Villa Vanto branded essential oil, hydrasol, culinary lavender, honey, bath salts and lavender sachets.
Clients will visit our farm and create custom, clean, all-natural perfume products. Our farm will provide an unparalleled sensory experience for creating scents by allowing them to see the life cycle of the inputs. Additional small-batch herbs and citrus will be grown and processed on-site for scent research and development:

Immersive Experiences
A foundational piece of the Villa Vanto vision is crafting immersive experiences on the property. This is both to enhance the perception of Villa Vanto products and to encourage a lifestyle where personal wellness and responsible agriculture go hand in hand.
We plan to craft events that will educate guests on sustainable, drought-tolerant farming practices through an immersive experience in how we cultivate and process the lavender.
